| PERSONAL: |
Jim was born on a farm in Page County, the youngest
of six children. He served as the first Student Body President of Page
County High School, where
he graduated with the Outstanding Senior Award. He married Margaret
Sue Flippin, from Pulaski County. They have two children, Laurel Shuler Moore,
a 94 Georgetown
graduate and Marshall James Shuler, a 96 graduate of the University
of Virginia. Margaret and
Jim have two grandchildren,
Mallory and Gillian Moore. |

| HOBBIES: |
Jim likes skiing and boating. He enjoys working on vintage
cars, and restoring and collecting antique clocks. |
 |
| EDUCATION: |
Jim received his B.S. from Virginia Tech in 1966.
(Listed in Whos Who in American Colleges & Universities). He received his Doctor
of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 1970 and graduated Cum
Laude. He also received the Tom Jones Award --recognition to outstanding Senior. |

Jim has been a member of Virginia House of Delegates (12th
District) from 1993 to the present. In 1974 he founded
Companion Animal Clinic in Blacksburg and remained the owner until his retirement
from practice in 1999. |
